Storytelling

Storytelling — the Art of an Engaging Narrative

Storytelling is a method of capturing attention, weaving in compelling content, and building emotional engagement among listeners. Stories are at the heart of our culture and civilization. Long before people learned to write, they learned to speak—and that’s when skilled storytellers emerged. Their contribution lives on in the stories passed down from generation to generation.

We can still read many of them in ancient texts, including the Bible—one of the best-known examples. These stories contain universal themes that resonate across cultures and civilizations.

Story telling

Stories as a Tool for Education and Sales

Storytelling is highly engaging for people. We are not designed to remember dates, numbers, and dry facts—we naturally understand and follow a story, whether we hear it, read it, or watch it. This applies regardless of the listener’s age; only the stories change.

My storytelling work includes running workshops for those who are interested. Most often, I deliver them for caregivers, parents, and educators who want to learn how to create compelling, engaging stories. I offer these workshops across Poland pro bono—only asking for reimbursement of travel costs (once the date is agreed). To date, I have delivered around 10 workshops and, as a personal calling, I am happy to deliver more.

Storytelling Workshops — Learning by Doing

I also use storytelling in sales skills training. Who remembers profit figures and the number of acquired clients? And who really cares—compared to a good story and a real journey? A compelling story about a customer who started in a garage and then began working with company “X” (though I prefer “Y”) is far easier to understand—and stays in the mind much longer.

To this day, I remember several outstanding, authentic stories that spark emotion, engage imagination, and, as a result, create relationships between people. Sometimes those people are parents and children; sometimes business partners; sometimes a customer and a sales representative.

There are many tips and techniques you can use in storytelling—do you want to learn them?

If so, message me and we’ll explore how to use my experience to make the world a better place (not just for ourselves).

Fairy Tale Therapy — the Power of Stories in Teaching Values

Fairy tale therapy is part of storytelling. When you want to talk about difficult situations at school, at home, or among peers, do you look for a book that addresses the topic? How do you deliver a message or moral so it doesn’t feel distant—or like a mere warning? You tell a therapeutic story—one that is tailored specifically to your children.

This is exactly the role fairy tales have played for centuries. Little Red Riding Hood, for example, has versions all over the world. First written down in the 17th century, it warns against strangers, taking shortcuts, and not listening to your mother.

Many of you, dear readers, may remember someone who was a natural storyteller—perhaps a grandparent, an aunt, a parent, or someone with that gift. We know that even improvised stories can be more engaging than reading the same Pinocchio or Cinderella tale for the tenth time. The most important message of this publication is simple: you can learn how to tell exciting stories and adventures in a captivating way.
